In Jungian psychology, the Anima represents the inner feminine side of men, and the Animus symbolizes the inner masculine side of women. These two sides seem contradictory to me, and I cannot discover my desired identity in either gender.

As a girl born in a traditional region where gender identity education is limited, my path of identity exploration is doomed to be lonely. Since my childhood, I have been unlike other peers. Adolescent upheavals in middle school destroyed my last illusions. Nevertheless, following many disappointments, I ultimately found the remedy: "I AM WHO I AM" but not being defined by gender.
